One Rep Max Calculator

Estimate your one rep max with Epley and Brzycki ranges, then calculate training weights and plates for each side of the bar.

Estimate 1RM and load the bar

Use a controlled set of one to ten repetitions to compare Epley and Brzycki one-rep-max estimates. Then choose a training percentage, rounding increment, bar weight and available plates to calculate a practical setup per side.

How to plan a training load

  1. Enter the weight and repetitions from a recent controlled set using the correct unit.
  2. Choose the conservative, midpoint or higher estimate and a training percentage.
  3. Set the bar and plate inventory, then review the rounded load and plates required on each side.

Strength estimates have limits

Prediction error grows with higher-repetition or inconsistent sets, and a calculated maximum is not a reason to attempt an unsupervised max. Use safe technique, suitable equipment and conservative progression.
