BMR Calculator

Estimate resting calories with Mifflin–St Jeor and compare a body-fat-aware Cunningham result. Private, transparent and reusable across Fitness tools.

Compare resting-calorie equations

Estimate resting energy with Mifflin-St Jeor and, when body-fat data is available, compare a Cunningham estimate. The same profile can then feed the daily calorie planner.

How to estimate BMR

  1. Enter age, height, weight and the equation input used by Mifflin-St Jeor.
  2. Add a measured body-fat percentage if you want the optional Cunningham comparison.
  3. Treat the range as a starting estimate and use TDEE for total daily needs.

BMR is not total daily expenditure

Resting-energy equations estimate calories used at rest and do not include normal movement, work or exercise. Individual physiology and measurement error can move real needs away from either equation.
